Valley Wedding Pages Planning Guide & Magazine

2016 Fall/Holiday Magazine

Welcome to the Fall-Holiday 2016 issue of The Valley Wedding Pages magazine! Our cover this issue showcases the spectacular vision of Hayley Lindley of The Secret Garden Florals & Events. Her keen eye for lush blooms and delicate petals is something to behold, and can be seen in her work throughout the pages of the magazine. We invite you to get to know her a little better through her use of rich colors perfect for any season.

Within the pages of this Fall-Holiday issue you will find twenty-six exquisite real weddings. One special feature is our 2016 Annual Planning Guide Cover Bride Sandi Aguilar-Marichalar, whose wedding to the love of her life Luis made for an unforgettable event. Along with Sandi’s wedding we are also happy to feature the heartwarming elopement of Yasmin and Miguel Angel Martinez, whose touching celebration brought together by the collaboration of several wedding professionals proved the strength of love and happiness in the midst of tragedy and grief. We also bring you the gorgeous destination weddings of Peyton and Raul De La Garza and Gisela and Stewart Traver, whose nuptials may inspire you to visit with Harold Vann of H&R Travel and book the trip of your dreams!

Along with our featured Just Married and Engaged couples who have found their “Happily Ever After’s,” you can also find our timeless styled wedding session that is reminiscent of an era long past with gorgeous vintage details, perfect for the autumn season. On the subject of “vintage” and “timeless”, turn the pages to discover four historical venues located right here in the Rio Grande Valley whose rich chronicles can transform any special event into an unforgettable experience. Other must-read editorials include the delicious sweets of Honey’s Cakes that bring smiles to all, the success of former graduates of my Wedding and Event Planning Certification course who have made a name for themselves in the event industry, and the kind friendship of photographers Alaa and Brenda Marzouk.

As we continue to guide brides and grooms throughout their wedding planning process we hope our great tips and latest trends in all things wedding can spark couples’ imaginations. Be serenaded by one of the Top Ten Classical Mariachi Songs, ease your mind with the help of Oh Kays! boutique as you begin your wedding registry, and choose the absolute Must-Have Shots you don’t want your photographer to miss on the day you say “I Do.” To keep up with recent special events in the Rio Grande Valley, take a look at the “Mix & Mingle” events hosted by some of our amazing wedding vendors you wish you didn’t miss, and see the spectacular engagement party of our 2016 “How I Got Engaged” winners Angela Fausey and Joseph Esperante – they are almost ready to become husband and wife!

There’s so much more to see in our biggest issue yet of the Valley Wedding Pages, so just turn the page and find what will inspire you this season!

Happy reading!

2016 Planning Guide

Planning a wedding (even a not-so-elaborate one) involves endless details, ever-growing lists, pressing deadlines, and enough frustration and stress to make you want to run away and elope. That’s why we published this guide.

The book you’re holding, The Valley Wedding Pages Annual 2016, is your secret weapon to avoid insanity! Use it as a cheat sheet, reference, encyclopedia and workbook that spells out everything you need to know and reminds you when to get it done.

We’ve laid out the BASIC basics, like how to begin this massive undertaking, then followed that up with much, much more. This is your insider’s guide with expert advice about budgeting, venues, guest lists, invitations, catering, beverages, and entertainment. It’s your un-put-downable bible of tips about makeup and hairstyling, reception design, cake and dessert trends, flowers and décor, gowns and accessories, ceremony schedules, personalized vows, gift registries, and your all-important honeymoon. But wait—there’s still more! We’ve packed in must-have timelines, essential legal information, even directions for assembling a wedding-day emergency kit.

By all means, use the Planning Pages toward the back of this book; they’re perforated so you can easily remove them, make copies, and maintain updated notes about everything. We think you’ll find them eminently convenient and helpful!

My hardworking, energetic staff and I are delighted to present this priceless collection of inside scoops, secret clues, and lowdown information you just can’t get married without! Read it. Use it. Enjoy the time and money it will save you.

Fall 2016 Quinceañera Pages Magazine

To our wonderful readers and friends,
We cannot fully express how delighted we are to bring to you the second issue of our newest magazine, The Valley Quinceañera Pages!

We are so proud of the Introductory issue we released earlier this year that we could not wait to bring you more terrific Quinceañera celebrations for young ladies in the Rio Grande Valley. As we know how important this milestone is in a young woman's life we strive to guide you while planning a fantastic party celebrating her accomplishments and promising achievements yet to come.

Within the pages of this issue not only will you read about our featured Quinceañera girls, including our cover girl Aylyn's themed peacock gala, Ileana's pretty in pink celebration, and Karina's colorful extravaganza! Alongside these beautiful girls you will read about photographer Paul Van Helden's newfound discovery of the significance of a Quinceañera, Rio Grande Valley dentist Dr. Christopher Martinez who can give you a brighter smile, and photographer David Pezzat's new twist on stunning Quinceañera photo shoots in grand spectacle with Pezzat Teens. Numerous special event professionals await here in this issue to offer you the best services for a Quinceañera or a Sweet 16.

Here in The Valley Quinceañera Pages we hope be part of a young lady's special celebration for her fifteenth birthday, for we know there is so much they have to look forward to as a young adult and wish them only an unforgettable night of festivities. Let us assist you with bringing your special day to life.
